Barbara Ann Williams is the principal Attorney of the Law Offices of Barbara-Ann Williams, PC, a professional law corporation. Barbara is licensed in the State of California since 1995.   Located in San Francisco, California, the Law Offices of Barbara-Ann Williams, PC has a diverse immigration practice representing individuals and corporate entities around the world.  Prior to going into private practice, Barbara practiced for eight years in the Bay Area at several leading immigration firms.  Barbara has expertise in a broad range of matters including corporate L1A & B and H1B nonimmigrant and permanent residency visa options for workers and relative petitions.  She has also facilitated religious worker visas, student visas, fiances visas, visas for artists and entertainers as well as victims of crime, and citizenship.  She is a frequent presenter and participant offering pro bono legal services on various immigration topics at community and church conferences and out-reach program.

Barbara a graduate of the University of Hawaii (Manoa) and University of San Francisco School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 1995. She was honored with a scholarship by the prestigious women’s organization, The Black Women’s Lawyers Association of Los Angeles for her academic achievements and active work in the community as well as was a Public Interest Clearinghouse Scholar for her continuing work in the public interest . 

Barbara has worked with several African churches in the Bay Area offering pro bono consultations and basic Immigration seminars as well as pro bono consultations in conjunction with Immigrant Legal Research Center and the International Institute of the East Bay.

MEMBERSHIP & ASSOCIATIONS

A Board Member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Northern California Chapter, Barbara served as the Chapter Young Lawyers Division Chair from 2003 - 2005, and as Director of the Educational Program Committee.

Barbara is engaged in numerous activities with charitable and professional organizations. A long-time member of the Soka Gakkai of America (SGI-USA) organization, a lay Buddhist organization actively engaged in peace activities and the creation of value through education, cultural exchanges and commitment to dialogue.  As a member, she has participated in numerous cultural exchanges with youth from Japan, Brazil, Italy, Korea, and Africa over a 25 year period. A former participant of the Youth Peace Conference, she assisted in drafting peace proposals for consideration by the United Nations, planned and coordinated the Books for Africa Campaign collecting text books and reading materials for children and students in Kenya and South Africa, assisted in the creation of the UN Photo and History Exhibit in honor of the United Nation’s 50th Anniversary celebration in San Francisco and did behind-the-scenes volunteer work at the Linus Pauling Exhibit celebrating the life and contributions of the peace scholar and scientist. She is currently a planning committee member of the San Francisco Regional Women's Division Secretariate. 

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and visiting new places, reading, and participating in SGI activities and spending time with friends and family.
